About The Coacoara Foundation

Coacoara comes from a place in Brazil called Jericoacoara, which translates in the Tupi language to the “lair of turtles”.

Jericoacoara is a place free from modern day inventions, pollution and a place where sustainability is proven to work in everyday life! It proves that sustainability can be a choice, a lesson we can all learn from.

Our Mission

Our mission is to reduce and eventually eliminate all single use plastics being used on a day to day basis, especially within the household. By helping our customers make the change to plastic free products, we hope to one day make a huge difference to our world. 

We have very carefully hand selected all the products on our website, with the aim of matching the quality and durability of your old plastic products, while trying to keep the price around the same. By achieving this, there should be no reason why not to make the switch to plastic free, environmentally friendly products!
